Merriweather is a Unicode typeface family that supports languages that use the Latin and Cyrillic scripts and its variants, and could be expanded to support other scripts e.g. Merriweather is actively developed and is improved upon periodically. Merriweather is an evolving project and will be updated. It is suitable for editorial design, news and other kinds of space sensitive typography. Merriweather offers a Renaissance warmth while using proportions which are space-saving. This information should be distributed along with the Merriweather fonts and any derivative works. It is also available in 120 static styles. The Variable Font release now has Optical Size (opsz) Widths (wdth) added to Weight (wght) axis. The previous repo here will be left intact but is now inactive. This repo is where updates to this project will be found
